Lunch with Michael Hogan

Date Posted: 15 November 2017

Michael Hogan, the red ball captain of Glamorgan CCC and the county’s most successful bowler over the past four seasons, will be the guest speaker of the Cricket Society at a lunch in the Westgate Room on Wednesday, November 15th @ 12 noon.

In the final match of the 2017 season Michael claimed his 500th wicket in all first-class cricket whilst in early September he was a member of the Glamorgan side which played at Nat West T20 Blast Finals Day at Edgbaston.

Born and raised in Australia, Michael played with distinction for Western Australia as well as for other teams in the all-action Big Bash T20 competition and various representative teams in Australian domestic cricket.

With the Ashes series about to start, Michael will be looking ahead to the eagerly-anticipated Test Match series between England and Australia, besides reflecting in discussion with Andrew Hignell, the Club’s Archivist, his highly successful career in domestic cricket in the U.K. with the Welsh county.
